The Plaza

This was my first book I created. After seeing a couple photos from the first few rolls I knew I had something cool going on. Reflecting on my favorite photographers and how they all had books published I was inspired to make my own. This was completely independent from any high school curriculum.

These times during my last year in high school are some of my happiest times that I can remember. During this time I was able to reconnect with friends from my early years in high school which proved to be invaluable. This project has many layers of sentimental value to me. It helped open my eyes to what I could hope to do with my future.

I often still reflect on this book and its layered meanings as a way to center myself when faced with challenges in being an artist. It’s a special project and so proud to have made it happen.
