Outpast11

After getting caught in the dusk after shooting my first roll of film, I had an urge to go out during the night to photograph. That itch has stayed with me since I was 15.

I had the lucky opportunity to borrow an old Pentax K1000 (which was pretty beaten up) with lots of rolls of Hp5 by one of my teachers. Since then on I had been going into wellington consistently at least once a week to shoot at night. Many times coming home early in the morning. After a few years of shooting and already completing my “The Plaza” book I was ready to self publish “Outpast11”. I was only 18 at the time and then it had felt like I had been walking around forever to complete this book. This was also valuable time for learning for myself as this was completely separate from my high school studies. I realized the value in developing and perusing a passion without external stimuli.

This was a hugely important milestone in my life to have completed this book.
